Location: Malibu (4 days), Brentwood (1 day) – 5 days per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm with flexibility for later nights or weekends for events (will be notified in advance)

Compensation: $40/hour, DOE plus OT, paid health and dental insurance, paid holidays and vacation.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Property Caretaker and Maintenance Specialist to oversee the meticulous upkeep of our beachfront residence in Malibu (4 days per week) and our property in Brentwood (1 day per week). The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining the exterior spaces to the highest standards and possess the skills necessary to handle a range of maintenance tasks. This position reports to the Estate Manager and requires collaboration with fellow staff members and vendors. MUST be capable of taking control, creating a check list, working off of that list without supervision, reporting back to the Estate Manager with regular updates.  We are seeking someone who is tech savvy, comfortable sending email updates and managing home technical systems.

  • Ensure the immaculate condition of exterior spaces, including hardscape and beach front.
  • Clean and maintain all stainless steel items to a polished state.
  • Prepare for client arrivals and departures by covering and uncovering furniture.
  • Care for beach and leisure equipment, ensuring their cleanliness and functionality.
  • Conduct weekly walkthroughs, performing light checks and AV testing.
  • Execute minimal landscape work as needed.
  • Manage garages, exterior storage areas, and pool equipment sheds.
  • Assist in event planning, furniture movement, and retrieving stored items.
  • Support heavy lifting, special projects, and household event setup and teardown.
  • Regularly survey the property for maintenance needs and promptly report to the Estate Manager.
  • Undertake other special projects and duties as assigned by the Estate Manager and principals.


  • Proven experience managing a beachfront residence with attention to detail.
  • Previous role within an Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) property.
  • Proficiency in handyman skills.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and AV systems.
  • Familiarity with smart home technology, preferably Crestron or Control4.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage vendors and maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
