Unique Role: House Manager with Artist Relations/Concierge Background for Artist Property in Jamaica

Salary up to $50 an hour (100K per annum) plus housing and food

A talented artist and their team seeks a highly unique individual to manage a newly renovated gorgeous property in Jamaica.  In the San San neighborhood, an estate sits on  fifty-plus acres with a residence house, a music studio, a yoga pagoda, a stable, an organic farm, and multilevel landscape areas. We are looking for a true needle in the haystack. Someone who has BOTH House Management AND Artist relations background (concierge experience is a huge plus).

The House Manager will be responsible for managing the senior team members, Housekeeping Manager, Butler, third-party staff members, including chef and servers, and any additional staff brought in to accommodate large-party bookings. The role of House Manager will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the house. This position will work directly with the ownership and the Property Manager to plan and execute a comprehensive management plan for the property. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of luxury hospitality, impeccable attention to detail, and a passion for delivering extraordinary guest experiences.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing smooth running of house, working directly with the ownership/principal and Property Manager to plan and execute a management plan for estate.
  • Acting as first point of contact for after guests book property.
  • Ensuring that house is maintained and all practical equipment is running smoothly.
  • Keeping all departments within home on task.
  • Acting as first point of contact for Property Manager, Housekeeping

Manager, independent Chefs, and staff.

  • Acting as first point of contact in case of emergency (i.e. alarm going off, pool leaking, staff/guest emergency).
  • Acting as point of contact for the third party security team
  • Overseeing that checklists for the home and studio are met.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and reporting maintenance to ensure the entire home & studio are kept to a high standard.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations, including reservations.
  • Ensure the household runs smoothly by managing inventory, overseeing maintenance and repairs, and maintaining household systems such as HVAC and security systems.
  • Acting as the concierge for guests (booking day trips/reservations/meal times).
  • Manage guest check-in and check-out processes.
  • Meeting and greeting the guests upon arrival and giving house tours.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through prompt attention to guest needs and concerns.
  • Tracking/ordering of all household-related items and supplies.
