Chief of Staff/ Director of Special Projects for NON- PROFIT in fashion/Inclusion space
Location: LOS ANGELES or NEW YORK CITY based
Salary: 150-185K DOE + HB

Reports to the Executive Director. The Chief of Staff supports the Founder and Executive Director by providing management, oversight, and guidance for special projects and strategic partnerships as needed.


  • Work with the Founder and the Executive Director on pursuing strategic partnerships and other collaborative programs to help increase visibility, in furtherance of the org. mission
  • Responsible for the management of the administrative functions of the Founder’s office including providing direction and support to the Executive Assistant to the Founder
  • Supports all Board activities including but not limited to coordinating all events and meetings, managing Board communications, including Board committee, and supporting committee activities and projects as the Founder and Executive Director shall require
  • Work independently and in collaboration with the non-profit’s leadership to implement the strategic initiatives of the Board, specifically those related to capacity building and special projects
  • Work closely with various team members to research, draft and produce external collateral materials, speeches, etc. for various key projects and strategic initiatives in support of the org. Founder
  • Serves as point of contact between the Founder’s office and key internal and external stakeholders


  • Bachelor’s degree required; at least 5-7 years of relevant demonstrated experience as an outstanding relationship builder, with existing ties to a broad and diverse range of organizations and communities
  • Proven and successful track record in strategic planning and project management
  • A history of communicating effectively in writing and orally, including excellent public speaking skills for both formal and extemporaneous presentations
  • A collaborative worker able to interact with colleagues constructively and responsively and mediate effectively among personalities
  • Must possess a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Experience working effectively with diverse groups of people; cross-cultural competence and demonstrate commitment to diversity; a record of success as a positive and high-energy leader
